Human Resources was created by the team at Marcy Design Group, a Columbus, Ohio creative agency that has spent nearly four decades bringing ideas to life through design, storytelling, marketing, and technology.
Over the years, Marcy Design has created more than 1,000 websites and 14,000 marketing projects, earning more than 230 awards along the way. But behind all those numbers is something much simpler: we love coming up with ideas and finding creative ways to communicate them.
That same creative spirit led to Human Resources.
After years of helping businesses navigate new technology—and watching artificial intelligence rapidly become part of everyday work and life—we saw an opportunity to look at AI from a completely different perspective. Instead of asking what artificial intelligence can do, we started wondering: What does artificial intelligence think of us?
That question became Algorithm Inc., a company run almost entirely by AI, and Dave, its first and only human employee.
Human Resources brings together many of the things Marcy Design has always enjoyed doing: illustration, character development, humor, technology, design, and storytelling. Dave, Byte, Via, Maxim and the rest of the Algorithm Inc. team give us an entirely new way to explore the strange, funny and wonderfully unpredictable behavior of humans.
Nearly 40 years after Marcy Design began, we're still doing what we've always loved most: Creating something from an idea and seeing where it can go. And with Human Resources, we're just getting started.
